How does FRED work?

1. Connect the FRED scanner into any PC with a high-speed Internet connection.

2. Gather the checks you want to deposit, put them into the feed tray, and FRED will scan them all into your computer.

3. A list of all scanned checks, their images and amounts, and the total deposit will display on your computer. Confirm the deposit and transmit it to your Vantus Bank account. If FRED can't read a number, "?" will appear. You can always make corrections and add information before transmitting.

4. Deposits transmitted before 6:00 p.m. CST will normally be credited to your bank account on the same business day. You can review reports online at any time to ensure your deposit has been received.

5. FRED has duplicate detection, safety and convenience features built in. It flags any potential duplications in time for you to take action.
